I am trying to find information on the Paragon Super II. I had it installed
about 4 years ago and have since lost the programming codes for it.

What I need to do is default or reset the system, I can see the NVM reset,
but don't know what the correct procedure is for doing this.

If somebody could please give information on resetting this it would be
greatly appreciated.

Thanks In Advance

Thanks for the information, but I was hoping to get the work I need to do

Thanks Again

You didn't install the system then ? Why can't you call the original
installer for help ? If it isn't under a service contract, then you're
asking for trouble.

If you're only moving the control panel to another position, then you don't
have to default it. The NVM will hold the existing progamming until you
power it up again.

The system was installed when the house was rewired, unfortunately there has
always been a problem with the battery in the control box and it has never
(from what I can see) worked, everytime the mains power fails (power cuts
etc), the alarm immediately goes off and there is no power on the remote
keypad to reset it.

I thought today as I am doing some work in the house, I would change the
time that the bell goes off for so as to annoy my neighbours as little as
possible before I disconnected it. However, I found out that you need to be
in engineer mode to do this, I know the other two codes, but sadly not this
one. The bloke who installed it, although a qualified electrician was a one
man company and has since retired as an electrician and I cannot get hold of
him to do it.

Looking into it, I guess it is possibly the battery that is at fault, I
assume it is not the correct behaviour for the alarm to go off when the
mains power is lost, and also that the remote keypad should still be usable
when this happens, if you have any ideas or suggestions about this one, then
I would again be very greatful.

Regards
Mark

An interruption in the power supply can cause the alarm to trigger, so when
this happens it's not an indication of a battery fault. Any sensor that
held closed contact by the power supply may open for a split second and
cause an alarm condition. Under battery back-up conditions, and especially
if the control panel has its own keypad, the remote devices may be isolated
to conserve as much power as possible, you never know how long the power is
going to be off, so this too is not an indication of a problem with the
battery.

Best wait and contact Pyronix before you go dismantling the system, eh ?
There will be someone on tech' support in the morning, so give them a call.

Thaks for that, I will give it a try in the morning, think it is a bit late
to have the alarm going off at the moment.

Thanks Again
